적어도 우리나라에서는 COME BACK과 더불어 제이 가일스 밴드의 최대 히트곡중의 하나인 센터폴드는 비록 표절시비가 있기는 했지만 기상천외한 가사와 더불어 친근하고 활달한 리듬은 좋은기억으로 남아있다.
고등학교다닐때 반했던 여자애가 포르노잡지의 중간에 접힌부분에 나오는걸 발견하여 충격을 먹은 일을 가사로 재미있게 표현하였고 빌보드챠트에는 82년에 6주동안 1위를 하였다.
무대를 종횡무진 장악하며 활달한 공연을 펼치는 제이 가일스는 재즈음악에도 관심을 있어서 몇곡을 녹음하기도 했었고 밴드를 탈퇴후에는 KTR Motosports 회사를 설립하기도 했었다.
